Greetings from Edward Huff, Hospital Staff Chaplain at Owensboro Medical Health System in Owensboro, Kentucky. I am passionate about diversity in the health care setting, especially the continued education of staff concerning the range of cultures, belief systems, practices, and other areas where consideration and understanding of the "other" can lead to greater compassion, empathy, and further enhance holistic patient, family and staff care in the health care setting. I am interested in hearing from other professional chaplains, social workers, case managers, nurses, doctors,pharmacists, dieticians- and any others involved in patient care. Communication leads to cooperation and consideration, with the end result being a higher level of respect in all facets of human interaction.
